Q. すぐできますか？
A. 実際に包丁の状態を拝見しないことには確実なことは申し上げられません。当日中に仕上げが可能な場合もございますが、通常は数日から、包丁の種類や状態によっては数週間お時間をいただくことがございます。そのため、店内で少しの間お待ちいただいての即日お渡しは基本的に承っておりません。
Q. いくらですか？
A. 包丁の種類や状態によって料金が異なります。詳しくは店頭またはウェブサイトの価格表をご覧ください。
Q. 駐車場はありますか？
A. 店舗裏の倉庫前が駐車スペースとなっております。※近隣の店舗や集合住宅の敷地には駐車なさらないようお願いいたします。
Q. 場所はどの辺ですか？
A. 厚木市内を南北に走る国道129号線沿いにございます。バスなどの公共交通機関はございませんので、最寄り駅からは徒歩で20分ほどかかります。詳しくは「アクセス」ページをご確認ください。
Q. ステンレスでも研げますか？
A. はい、もちろん可能です。現在市販されている包丁の多くはステンレス製ですので、問題なく対応しております。
Q. 古くてかなり錆びているけど研げますか？
A. 腐食の程度によります。サビが浅い場合は削り落とすことが可能ですが、黒く深く腐食している場合は取りきれないこともございます。状態によっては研磨をお断りさせていただくこともございます。
Q. 柄の交換はできますか？
A. 和包丁で、挿し込み式のものであれば柄の交換が可能です。
Q. パン切りナイフは研げますか？
A. 申し訳ございませんが、パン切りナイフの研磨は承っておりません。パン切りナイフはそもそも研ぎ直しを前提に作られておりません。よく研がれた文化包丁の方がパンもきれいに切れることが多いです。
Q. セラミックの包丁は研げますか？
A. 申し訳ございませんが、セラミックなど非金属製の刃物は対応しておりません。お手数ですが、メーカーへご相談ください。
Q. ハサミは研げますか？
A. ハサミには多くの種類がございますが、以下のものは研磨可能です。
・裁ち鋏（鍛造鋼に限ります）
・剪定鋏
・木鋏
・花鋏
※キッチン鋏・刈込鋏（状態によります）・事務用のハサミは対応しておりません。
Q. Can you sharpen it immediately?
A. We can’t say for certain without seeing the knife in person. While same-day service is sometimes possible, it usually takes a few days, and depending on the type and condition of the knife, it may take several weeks. Therefore, we are generally unable to complete the sharpening while you wait.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. Prices vary depending on the type and condition of the knife. Please refer to our price list in-store or on our website for more details.
Q. Is there parking available?
A. Yes, you can park in front of the warehouse behind the shop.
Please do not park in the lots of neighboring stores or apartment buildings.
Q. Where are you located?
A. We are located along Route 129, which runs north-south through Atsugi City. There are no public buses serving our location, so it’s about a 20-minute walk from the nearest train station. Please refer to our Access page for details.
Q. Can you sharpen stainless steel knives?
A. Absolutely. Most knives sold today are made of stainless steel, and we can sharpen them without any issue.
Q. Can you sharpen old, rusty knives?
A. It depends on the extent of the rust. If it’s surface-level, we can grind it off. However, if the rust is deep and blackened, it may not be fully removable. In severe cases, we may need to decline the service.
Q. Can you replace the handle?
A. Yes, if it is a traditional Japanese knife with a push-in (inserted) handle, we can replace it.
Q. Do you sharpen bread knives?
A. We’re sorry, but we do not accept bread knives for sharpening. These knives are not designed to be resharpened. A well-sharpened utility knife (like a santoku or chef’s knife) can actually cut bread better.
Q. Can you sharpen ceramic knives?
A. We’re sorry, but we cannot sharpen non-metal blades like ceramic. Please contact the manufacturer directly for service.
Q. Do you sharpen scissors?
A. It depends on the type. We accept the following:
- Tailor’s shears (forged steel only)
- Pruning shears
- Woodworking shears
- Flower scissors
We do not accept kitchen shears, hedge shears (depends on condition), or office scissors.
